Every project has the same layout. A menu on the left groups the modules into eight entries. The tabs of the entry you are in run across the top of the page, with the project's health and phase at the far right.
The eight menu entries
- Overview: Summary, Dashboards and Status reports. A project always opens on its Summary.
- Plan: Plan, Milestones and Dependencies.
- Scope: Scope and WRICEF.
- RAID: Risks, Issues, Actions and Decisions.
- Governance: Quality gates, Meetings and Lessons learned.
- Delivery: Testing, Training, Cutover and Data migration.
- Money and people: Budget and Resources.
- Documents: the document register.
Agents acts on the whole project, so it sits in the top bar next to the mic rather than in the menu. On wide screens the left rail can also show Assistant, Agents and Meetings for the project you are in.
How to move around
- Pick an entry
Select an entry under "In this project". It opens the first tab you can see.
- Pick a tab
Use the tabs across the top, for example Risks, Issues, Actions, Decisions.
- Check the status
The pill at the far right of the tab bar shows the RAG and "Phase:" with the current phase.
- Switch project
Select the switcher at the top of the side panel, or press Ctrl K (⌘ K on a Mac). Type to search, use the arrow keys and press Enter.
- Make room
Select Collapse sidebar to hide the panel. Expand sidebar brings it back.
Project settings
If you are a project admin, ⋯ next to "In this project" offers Project settings, Modules in this project and Switch project. Project settings has four tabs: Project profile, Project team, Modules and Data. In Modules you can switch off what this project does not use.
On tablets and phones
Tablet (768 to 1023 px wide)
- The menu button in the top bar opens the side panel as a drawer
- Home, Projects, Agents and Meetings are at the top of the drawer
- Settings is at the bottom
Phone (under 768 px wide)
- A bar at the bottom: Home, Projects, Project and More
- Project opens the eight entries as a sheet, with Agents and Project settings
- More opens the full drawer
Key terms
- RAG: green On track, amber At risk, red Off track.
- Phases (SAP Activate): Discover, Prepare, Explore, Realize, Deploy and Run. Projects on another methodology show no phase.
Good to know
- Tabs your plan does not include are left out of the menu. An entry with no tabs left disappears. If you open a link to one anyway, you see "Available on Professional" and a See pricing button.
- A module switched off in this project leaves the menu for everyone. A direct link shows "This module is hidden in this project". Its data is kept, and a project admin can show it again.
- The Summary cannot be hidden.
- Old links to any module still work, because each tab is its own address.
- More in the rail opens Settings, Install the app, What's new, Keyboard shortcuts and Get help.
Who can do this
Everyone on the project sees the menu, within their plan. Project admins (and company owners and admins) see Project settings.
