Listen turns Home into a short spoken briefing. It is handy on the way to a meeting, or when you want the headlines without reading the list.

What it reads

The briefing has four short passages, read one after the other:

  1. Greeting: your name and today's date.
  2. Needs attention: how many of your items are overdue and due this week, and the first three by name, project and date. For an executive sponsor, it says how many programmes are off track, at risk and on track instead.
  3. Approvals waiting: how many approvals and signatures wait for you, and the first three.
  4. Top risks: the three highest-scored open risks across your projects.

Where there are more than three items, it says "And 2 more" (or however many) rather than reading them all.

How to use it

  1. Open Home

Select Home in the left rail and wait for My work to load.

  2. Start

Select Listen at the top right. The passages appear as a list, with the one being read marked.

  3. Pause or resume

Select Pause to hold it, then Resume to carry on from the same place.

  4. Stop

Select Stop to end the briefing. Leaving the page also stops it.

Good to know

  • Your browser reads the text aloud on your device. Nothing is sent anywhere, and no AI key is needed.
  • The voice is your browser's English voice, so it sounds different on different devices and browsers.
  • If your browser has no speech support, the Listen button does not appear.
  • The briefing is built from what Home has already loaded. If My work is still loading, there is nothing to read yet.
  • If the list changes while it is reading (for example after you approve something), the briefing stops. Select Listen again for the new version.
  • Listen only reads. To act on an item, use the rows in My work.

Who can do this

Everyone, on any plan, in a browser that supports speech.
