What it's for
Your profile is how teammates see you. Open it from the account menu (select your avatar, then My profile), or go to Settings and the Profile tab. Settings apply across every workspace you are in.
Profile details
The Profile panel has your Email, Full name, Job title and Phone. Select Save changes when done. Your new name shows in the top bar straight away.
Before you add a photo
You need
- A JPEG, PNG or WebP image up to 20 MB, or
- A camera on your laptop or phone, with the browser allowed to use it
How to add or change your photo
- Open Profile photo
In Settings, Profile, find the Profile photo panel and select Add a photo, or Change photo if you have one.
- Upload or take a photo
Select Upload a photo to choose a file, or Take a photo. On a laptop you see a live preview: select Take photo. On a phone or tablet, the phone's own camera opens.
- Crop it
The photo is cropped to a square. Use the Zoom slider, and Left to right or Top to bottom to position it.
- Use it
Select Use photo. To try again, select Retake or Choose another.
The photo is cropped and resized to 256 pixels on your device before it is saved. To delete it, open the dialog again and select Remove photo. Without a photo, your initials are shown.
How you work
The How you work panel sets the words ProjectCAPEX uses (Company or Client) and what Home shows first. Pick I run projects for my company or I run projects for several clients. Every feature stays available whichever you choose.
Other settings tabs
- Password and security: change your password (at least 8 characters) and Sign out of all devices.
- Notifications: an Email digest (Never, Daily summary or Weekly summary) and real-time alerts for mentions, assignments and status changes.
- Preferences: Theme, Timezone, Language and Date format, and the Install the app panel.
- AI: see AI settings and your own key.
- Your plan and Workspaces: see Plans and pricing.
- Account: to delete your account, select Request account deletion. Support handles it, and it also deletes every company you own.
Good to know
- Your photo is shown beside your name, to people in your companies, wherever you are an owner.
- If the camera does not start, the dialog says why, for example that camera access was not allowed. You can always upload a photo instead.
- Project admins can add a photo for a project team member who has no account, from the project's Project team tab. People with an account manage their own photo.
- In the demo, photos cannot be changed.
Who can do this
