What it's for
Company admin is where an owner or admin runs the company itself, rather than a single project. The company owner can open it from the account menu: select your avatar, then Company admin. Owners and admins can also open it from Settings, Workspaces, with the Open workspace admin button next to the company. The page is headed Administration and has up to five tabs.
Before you start
You need
- To own the company, or to hold the Admin role in it
- Billing access as well, to see the Subscription and usage tab
Anyone else who opens the page sees Access restricted, with a note to ask the workspace owner for the Admin role.
The tabs
Subscription and usage
Shows the Current plan, Usage against the plan's limits (projects, editors, stakeholders and storage), a Plan comparison and the Company plans. Selecting Choose plan or Talk to us opens a request: online checkout is not open yet, so the request goes to us by email and we set up the plan. Billing history lists past changes. If the owner's personal plan covers the company, this tab says so. See Plans and pricing.
Team and roles
The Team roster lists each member with their Role, Workstream, Billing access and Status. Select Add member to add someone by Email and Name, with a Role and an optional Workstream. They are emailed an invitation, and a confirmation appears above the roster. If the email can't be sent, the confirmation says so and you can select Copy link to share the link yourself. Pending members have a Resend invitation button. Below the roster, the Permission matrix shows what each role can do. Roles apply on every plan, Team included. See Invite your team and Roles and permissions.
AI
Under AI in this company, the Allow AI in this company switch is on by default. Turning it off stops AI on all of this company's projects, including on-device speech, for example when a client does not allow AI on its data. It cannot turn AI on for anyone: each person chooses that in their own settings, with their own key. Providers people may use (optional) limits which providers work on this company's projects. Select Save when done. See AI settings and your own key.
Currency
Set the Reporting currency the portfolio adds every programme up in, then Save reporting currency. Under Company rates, add how much one unit of each currency is worth in the reporting currency, with the date that rate is from (As of). ProjectCAPEX does not fetch live market rates. A programme in a currency with no rate stays out of the portfolio totals. See Reporting currency and rates.
Audit log
Changes made through the app's record forms, with the Timestamp, User, Action, Type, Entity and Details. You can filter the log and select Load more for older events.
How to block AI for a client company
- Open Company admin
From the account menu, select Company admin, or use Open workspace admin in Settings, Workspaces.
- Open the AI tab
Find AI in this company.
- Turn off the switch
Switch off Allow AI in this company. The note under it confirms that nobody can use AI on this company's projects.
- Save
Select Save. People see that AI is turned off by the company on its projects.
How to add a currency rate
- Open the Currency tab
Check the Reporting currency first.
- Find Add a rate
Pick the Currency. Currencies your programmes use but have no rate for are listed first.
- Enter the rate and date
Type what one unit is worth in the reporting currency, as a number above zero such as 1.16, and the As of date.
- Add rate
Select Add rate. Converted totals now say they were converted at company rates as of the oldest date they use.
Good to know
- A delegated admin without billing access sees Team and roles, AI, Currency and Audit log, but not Subscription and usage. Only the owner can grant billing access.
- Changing the reporting currency recalculates the rates through your rate for the new currency, or clears them if none converts. The page warns you before you save.
- Each project has its own admin page too, for its team and modules. See Roles and permissions.
Who can do this
The company owner and members with the Admin role. Subscription and usage needs the owner, or an Admin with billing access.
